>Rand takes a stand
For tomorrow’s program, we will speak about the ongoing D.C. drama surrounding the emergency spending bill causing a ruckus in Washington. The 1,547-page bill was released late Tuesday, leaving lawmakers little time to review it before the Friday deadline.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) has joined conservatives voicing outrage over the "lame-duck" stop-gap spending bill set for a vote in Congress, writing on social media, “I had hoped to see @SpeakerJohnson grow a spine, but this bill full of pork shows he is a weak, weak man.”
Some of the wild spending initiatives Democrats have slipped into the bill, which Republicans are opposing, include:
A pay increase for members of Congress from $174,000 to $243,000 per year.
Members of Congress eligible for opt-out on using Obamacare
Funding for the State Department’s ‘Global Engagement Center’, a program which is used to censor conservative news.
Funding for at least 12 new biolabs…

>DOGE Outrage
There are plenty of Americans outside of Congress displeased with the stop-gap spending bill, which includes DOGE’s Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Musk and Ramaswamy, tapped by President-elect Trump to lead the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), are urging Republicans to oppose the 1,547-page bill, citing its excessive "pork."
“How can this be called a “continuing resolution” if it includes a 40% pay increase for Congress?” asked Musk on X.
“We’re funding bioweapon labs in this bill!” Musk wrote in another post.

>Big Bill for Biden
It really is a week for big bills. The Senate passed the $895 billion defense policy bill, including a pay raise for U.S. servicemembers and a restriction on transgender care, by a bipartisan 85-14 vote. The bill, which prohibits military health provider Tricare from funding transgender care leading to sterilization for minors, now heads to President Biden’s desk. The House passed the 1,800-page bill earlier, 281-140, with more Democrats opposing it over the transgender provision.

II: WHITE HOUSE 2024
TRUMP 2024
President-elect Donald Trump warned Senate Republicans on social media not to make deals with Democrats before he takes office.
He wrote the following on Truth Social: “To all Senate Republicans: NO DEAL WITH DEMOCRATS TO FAST TRACK NOMINATIONS AT THE END OF THIS CONGRESS. I won the biggest mandate in 129 years. I will make my appointments of Very Qualified People in January when I am sworn in.”
He also announced his nominees for ambassadorship to the following countries: Japan, Luxembourg, Croatia, Uruguay, Austria, and more.
One of the nominations includes Herschel Walker as the U.S. Ambassador to the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
ALSO: Trump has filed a lawsuit against the Des Moines Register and pollster J. Ann Selzer for alleged "election interference" and fraud over their final 2024 poll, which showed Kamala Harris leading in Iowa despite Trump winning the state by over 13 points. The lawsuit cites the Iowa Consumer Fraud Act, accusing the Register and Selzer of bias toward Harris. Read More Here.
THE LEFT 2024
The San Francisco Department of Public Health has hired Virgie Tovar, an advocate for "fat positivity and body acceptance” and author of You Have the Right to Remain Fat, to consult on weight stigma and neutrality.
Tovar describes herself as an “anti-weight-based discrimination” expert with consultation experience on “weight stigma and weight neutrality.” Her website lists her as a ”plus-size Latina author, lecturer, and leading expert on weight-based discrimination and body positivity with over a decade of experience.”
She called the collaboration an "absolute dream come true" on Instagram. She also recently wrote for Forbes as a contributor, authoring pieces about hosting a “size inclusive” Thanksgiving and alleged “fatphobia” in current TV shows.
ALSO: Former Rep. Liz Cheney might finally face consequences for allegedly colluding with Cassidy Hutchinson. A House Republican-led panel has urged a federal criminal investigation into Cheney for alleged witness tampering during her time as vice chair of the committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot. III: BORDERLESS
A South African national illegally entering the U.S. was arrested in New York City after being flagged on the terrorist watchlist.
Initially detained in Texas for trespassing near Eagle Pass in September, he was handed to federal border patrol and later released before his re-arrest. Lt. Chris Olivarez of Texas DPS shared on social media the arrest of the South African national along with 36 other migrants, including individuals from Turkey, Pakistan, India, and Vietnam, classified as special interest.
“Among the group were special interest illegal immigrants from Turkey, Pakistan, India, & Vietnam. The group from Turkey stated they each paid $12K to cross the Rio Grande & were destined for New Jersey to meet with a sponsor,” Olivarez confirmed on Sept. 20.
Olivarez posted that they arrested 15 illegal immigrants for criminal trespassing, which included South African Umar Farooq Ashraf. Farooq was flagged by the Terror Screening Center as potentially linked to a known or suspected terrorist. He remains in state custody.
ALSO: The Biden administration announced the release of two Malaysian detainees from Guantanamo Bay on Wednesday, following their guilty pleas for involvement in deadly 2002 bombings. This comes a day after the release of a Kenyan detainee, according to reports out of the Pentagon. Read More Here.
