Mr. Speaker: Time to Speak Up
I: THE DML REPORT
NOLA, Vegas & the Speaker of a Divided House
"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” - Edmund Burke
On the hair of Joe Biden’s chinny chin chin, Mike Johnson was awarded the opportunity to continue his role as Speaker of the House to a GOP majority (with yet again, a razor thin margin…).
Johnson (R-La.) has secured another term as Speaker of the House, clinching the position after two Republican holdouts eventually switched their votes to support him, giving him the necessary 218 votes to win.
Initially, three GOP members resisted his candidacy: Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), Rep. Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and Rep. Keith Self (R-Tex.). After some negotiation and discussion, both Norman and Self changed their votes in favor of Johnson.
It may come as no surprise, considering Johnson's re-election was bolstered by significant endorsements from President-elect Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk, who publicly expressed their support for Johnson's leadership. This backing was crucial in persuading the holdouts to align with the broader Republican caucus, ensuring Johnson's continued tenure as Speaker.
A confirmed positive outcome of Johnson’s leadership will be the certification of the election results, ensuring that Trump is inaugurated as the 47th president.
But the negatives are mountainous too: for awhile now, Johnson’s caving to Democrat demands, particularly with Ukraine funding, has made him massively unpopular with his own base. Recently in December, the stopgap spending bill that was passed with his support was widely condemned for content, such as boosting congressional salaries and funding new biolabs.
It might be the choice we’re stuck with now, and with a sliver of a majority against the Democrats, it will be time for Johnson to truly step up and abide by Trump’s agenda.
This also directly comes after the major terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day, and the targeting of the Trump International hotel in Las Vegas with the exploding cyber truck (the imagery of one of Musk’s creating fireballing outside a Trump-owned property has been elevated to conspiracy levels on their unique friendship). With a country that has been suffering four years under Biden and will have to endure another brutal 17 days with his leadership, it’s vital Johnson and Republicans work with the Trump administration to help fix a very broken country that has lost its trust in its leaders.
Mike Johnson: it’s time to step up. Be the best House Speaker there ever was. This can be your time to truly define your legacy as someone facilitating the mending of America. You’re going to UFC events with Trump and Musk, which is almost every American’s dream! Let’s get it together and start by getting Trump in office later this month. And remember: Americans First, forever and always!

II: WHITE HOUSE 2025
TRUMP 2025
Last-Minute Merchan
Judge Juan M. Merchan rejected President-elect Donald Trump's request to dismiss the hush money case and set a sentencing date for January 10, just days before Trump’s return to the White House.
The judge indicated Trump wouldn’t face jail time, per an Associated Press report. However, this does officially make Trump poised to become the first president to take office with felony convictions.
Merchan, who presided over Trump’s trial, indicated he would sentence Trump to an "unconditional discharge," closing the case without jail time, fines, or probation, though the conviction would remain on record. Merchan stated the decision balances Trump’s ability to govern, the Supreme Court's ruling on presidential immunity, public expectations of equality under the law, and respect for the jury’s verdict.
Trump may opt to appear virtually for the sentencing. It will be held at 9:30 am ET on January 10.
ALSO: Trump launched a statement on Truth Social after Biden awarded the Presidential Citizens Medal to former Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Bennie Thompson for leading the January 6th Select Committee. The medals, intended for exemplary service, were given for their role in investigating the Jan. 6 protest. Cheney received a standing ovation from Democrats during the ceremony. Read More Here.
THE LEFT 2025
LEFTIST LEGACIES
President Biden's White House team uploaded nearly two dozen videos to its YouTube channel, seemingly to highlight his legacy before leaving office.
The videos include campaign-style clips, interviews with officials, and promotions of the administration's achievements, all set to be archived on YouTube. One 52-second clip titled “The time to move forward is now” was originally shared on his January 20, 2021, inauguration day. Set to somber music, the video features people wearing masks with corny slogans flashing across the screen.
Comments are turned off on the YouTube video, likely due to the backlash that the video would receive. Over on X, social media users are sharing and lambasting the video, with one user even calling it “UNBELIEVABLY creepy.”
FLASHBACK: Following the attack in New Orleans by an Islamic terrorist, a previous video of Biden labeling white supremacists as the biggest threat to the country has been going viral. Watch Here.
III: BORDERLESS
Patterns of Betrayal
A federal grand jury indicted Jack Danaher Molloy, 24, a former U.S. Army soldier from Pittsburgh, for attempting to support the terrorist organization Hezbollah and making false statements related to international terrorism.
The indictment alleges he made multiple efforts to join the group in Lebanon and Syria. Molloy, a dual U.S.-Irish citizen and former U.S. Army soldier, was charged with making false statements after attempting to join Hezbollah. He was arrested in Chicago in December following an August 2024 investigation into his travels, and he was transported to Pittsburgh by U.S. Marshals.
Molloy allegedly promoted violence against Jewish people, evidenced by hateful content on his devices and usernames on X. In a WhatsApp exchange, he reportedly confirmed his plan to join the terrorist ranks of Hezbollah to target Jews.
The indictment follows national stories surrounding the actions of two other former military service members: Shamsud-Din Jabbar, the mass murderer of the New Orleans attack, held the rank of Staff Sergeant, and Matthew Livelsberger, the suicidal driver to the explosive cyber truck outside a Trump hotel, held the rank of Master Sergeant.
