Joe’s Last Joke

What’s Happening…

FROM DML

>One month left

One month until the new year, and about seven weeks away from President-elect Trump’s big Inauguration Day. With the media insanity of Biden pardoning his son Hunter (see THE LEFT 2024) and the liberal outcry of Trump’s choice of Kash Patel to lead the FBI (see TRUMP 2024), there’s a lot still to unfold before Trump is sworn into office.

As I noted on today’s podcast, we all saw this pardon coming. It’s really no shock for most of us. I think the joke is on the media believing Biden would’ve kept to his word and let his son be put behind bars. And I think it’s a joke that the press has allowed Biden to lie time and time again, and yet they run protective cover for that family, time and time again.

But I guess the real joke here is Hunter. Or, in this case, The Joker. He’s free to go about his life now, but he will always be proof that according to Democrats, the president’s son is apparently above the law. And that will ultimately be the Biden legacy: treating the law like a joke (+ massive inflation & border crossings).

With that said, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. And just a quick reminder there’s still time to order the holiday special we’re offering before Christmas…

FROM DENNY

>The Musk Note

Oh, the sly and subtle humor of Elon Musk! Trump’s new best friend and the owner of X joined others mocking President Biden's hypocrisy after he pardoned his son Hunter by adding a community note to an old yet notorious tweet: "No one is above the law." Biden's May tweet, aimed at Trump, resurfaced and went viral following the controversial pardon announcement. Now, the tweet’s got a big fat community note (“fact check”) stapled on it; Read It Here.

FROM RYAN

>Transanity

The Supreme Court will address transgender rights this week, with Chase Strangio, the first openly transgender attorney to argue before the court, representing families opposing Tennessee’s ban on transgender healthcare for minors. I sincerely hope the Court tosses the case into the trash heap. Read More Here.

II: WHITE HOUSE 2024

Hits and Misses

TRUMP 2024

With Trump appointments and nominations, there’s bound to be some hits and misses with picks. Some will be praised, some will be questioned, and others might even be lambasted (for example, Marco Rubio’s selection for Secretary of State). Trump’s next pick might make some folks scratch their heads and ask, “Why?!”

Trump’s pick for DEA administrator, Florida sheriff Chad Chronister, is coming with swaths of criticism. Critics are mentioning on social media Chronister's controversial 2020 arrest of a pastor who defied COVID lockdowns and held a service at church.

The charges against the pastor were later dropped, but the story had gone viral then. The sheriff’s actions were considerably unfavorable amongst the town locals and then more so once its national media.

As a result years later, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) objected to Trump’s nomination, writing, “I’m going to call ‘em like I see ‘em. Trump’s nominee for head of DEA should be disqualified for ordering the arrest a pastor who defied COVID lockdowns.”

He’s not the only one. Many more have spoken out against the selection, believing Chronister showed his true colors during his authoritarian approach to the churchgoers during COVID…

ALSO: Trump also appointed Dr. Massad Boulos, Tiffany Trump’s father-in-law, as senior adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs. Boulos, a billionaire Lebanese-American, led efforts to engage Arab Americans, organizing meetings in Michigan and other areas with large Arab populations. His outreach is credited with influencing some of Michigan's 300,000 Arab Americans and Muslims to vote Trump, many of whom previously supported Biden in 2020. Read More Here.

Tis the season for pardons

The LEFT 2024

Looks like the turkeys Peach and Blossom weren’t the only pardons for the end of this year. With mere weeks left in his presidency, President Biden did what he promised not to do: he pardoned his son Hunter of all his crimes.

And we mean likely all of them. In his announcement, Biden gave a blanket pardon over Hunter covering from this year to all the way back in 2014.

Biden’s announcement of the pardon this weekend came as a shockwave to Democrats and the ol’ narrative that “no one is above the law.”

Following multiple instances of pledges and vows to not interfere in the DOJ process of Hunter’s gun charge case, Biden walked back with the following explanation:

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter.

From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere with the Justice Department’s decision-making, and I kept my word even as I have watched my son being selectively, and unfairly, prosecuted.

Without aggravating factors like use in a crime, multiple purchases, or buying a weapon as a straw purchaser, people are almost never brought to trial on felony charges solely for how they filled out a gun form. Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given noncriminal resolutions.

It is clear that Hunter was treated differently. The charges in his cases came about only after several of my political opponents in Congress instigated them to attack me and oppose my election.

Then, a carefully negotiated plea deal, agreed to by the Department of Justice, unraveled in the courtroom — with a number of my political opponents in Congress taking credit for bringing political pressure on the process. Had the plea deal held, it would have been a fair, reasonable resolution of Hunter’s cases.

No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son — and that is wrong.

There has been an effort to break Hunter — who has been five and a half years sober, even in the face of unrelenting attacks and selective prosecution. In trying to break Hunter, they’ve tried to break me — and there’s no reason to believe it will stop here.

Enough is enough. For my entire career I have followed a simple principle: just tell the American people the truth. They’ll be fair-minded.

Here’s the truth: I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice — and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further. I hope Americans will understand why a father and a President would come to this decision.”

ALSO: Karine Jean-Pierre, following numerous moments claiming the contrary, was forced to address reporters following Biden walking back on his vow and pardoning his son of all his crimes in a 10-year span. Watch here.

ALSO ALSO : Schools in a town in Ohio are introducing a "satanic studies" program as an alternative to Bible-based instruction. One of the elementary schools declared it will host the Satanic Temple’s Hellion Academy (HAIL) after a parent requested the program. HAIL is a program launched by the Temple of Satan as a response to the uptick in Christian-based release programs in schools across the country. Read More Here.

III: BORDERLESS

New York State of Migrants

New data reveals that over 58,000 illegal migrants with criminal convictions or charges are in NYC out of nearly 760,000 known illegal border crossers in the city.

This accounts for 7.7% of the migrant population tracked by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as of Nov. 17. Among them, 1,053—nearly 2%—are identified as suspected or known gang members.

Nationwide, ICE data shows that of the 7.8 million illegal immigrants in the U.S., 662,586 (8.6%) have criminal convictions or pending charges, though the number of suspected gang members remains unclear.
